The amount of pothole compensation claims submitted to UK local authorities more than doubled between 2022 and 2023, according to research by the RAC.
The motoring organisation said that among 18 councils that responded to a Freedom of Information request, the number of claims submitted increased from 8,327 to 20,432.

From the latest penny saved on petrol to Nissan waving its flags for a ZEV mandate makeover, there’s a little bit of everything. It’s a shocking revelation that one in ten drivers engage in risky behavior, not to mention the pothole claims skyrocketing. Maybe drivers should treat potholes like hot tubs—avoiding them at all costs! And kudos to VW for diversifying the Golf line-up; I guess they finally realized that variety isn't just the spice of life, it's the fuel of innovation!
