The Business Bulletin
As this is the final edition for this year, rather than the usual articles, tips, tools and resources, I just wanted to reflect on the last 12 months and ask you a few questions. Hope that's ok with you? Here goes...
For me, the thing I'm most proud of this year is creating an online business support programme (to be launched next year) which captures my experience, knowledge, advice and guidance on what it takes to grow and run a small business. It's taken quite a lot of blood, sweat and tears and I've had to learn new things (never too old!) and overcome hurdles to do something different and not naturally comfortable for me.
In terms of what I could've done better...there were times when I lost focus and got distracted from the core foundations, values and principles that normally drive and motivate me. So, I needed to retune and get back on track.
It's hard to pick out one person as I've received support from many people in my "inner circle" over the last 12 months. I've found great solace in a weekly virtual pub get together each Friday which started in the first lockdown; and pleased to say, is still going! It's been great to unwind, share war stories and learn about each other's challenges and successes (both personal and business) - and it's something I always look forward to at the end of a busy week. However, one person that has shone through and been my "wing-woman" on numerous occasions is Marie-Louise O'Neill and for that I am grateful for her patience (mainly this, as I'm sure she'll attest to!), insights, opinions and friendship. Thanks ML!
Next year, I want to press the F5 key of life and reflect over the last few decades of being a small business owner and look at what really floats my boat and focus on getting that done...as I ain't getting any younger!

It would be great to hear from you, so feel free to add your comments or just message me if you don't want to share for everyone to see.
I look forward to being inspired!
Until next year - have a good one and see you in 2024.
Cheers, Paul.

Q-Who is one person you're grateful for in your life? A-My wife. Q-What is one thing you're looking to achieve next year? A-Further growth of KR.eativ: Architects with more commercial and listed building projects of which I have decades of experience.

1 年The business community, especially the Accountability Circle has been great for keeping me on track, so thank you Paul Green. My proudest moment was being asked to work with the AAT Education Team to provide content for newly qualified members looking to attain their practice license. My constant support is my Husband. Of course I could do better, there is always room for improvement. Here’s to 2024
