What’s that old cliché, meaning is found in the eye of the beholder??
What’s your opinion, is running a business beautiful or beastly??Maybe a bit of both – we will call it beastiful.
Let’s face it running a company can be hard.?Building new customers, ensuring products and services are delivered on-time all while dealing with high inflation, supply chain issues, employee sub par performance levels, new laws and regulations, an onslaught of fierce competition, squeezed profit margins and the various legal issues that inevitably occur can certainly lead to a few sleepless nights and added stress for most executives.?Business can be a beast.
Yet, regardless of the many hurdles, there is hardly a more rewarding game in town.?Business, the grand opportunity to create, serve, grow and contribute.?Ahh, the sheer bliss of conceptualizing, designing, developing and ultimately deploying a product or service that makes life better.?Can you think of a more all-encompassing learning experience??The beauty of it all.
Business is, after all, the process of identifying problems and creating solutions.??
It is always interesting speaking with business owners of small or lower middle market companies.?As the founder or next generation leader, they identified an unmet need in the marketplace, determined how they might fill the gap and then through sheer grit and determination went to work building an enterprise that employees tens, hundreds and sometimes thousands of people.?Simply precious.?
Now, more than ever, small and mid-size business owners must muster the passion and resilience to continue their climb.?The backbone of our nation is pinned on the “little” man or woman, that regardless of the hurdles faced, found a way to not only survive but thrive in boom and bust periods.
I’m inspired by these brave souls that show up every day to PLAY!?To fully participate.?To face the massive headwinds inviting the less discipled to simply quit.?
Passion, persistence, purpose.?All key to succeed.?For those willing to stretch, learn and grow, there is always a new metaphorical mountain to climb.?For those who continue their assent, you are to be saluted.?Continue to contribute.?Continue to care.?Continue to serve others.?

If you ever need a helping hand, let me know.?Always grateful for the opportunity to assist others on their journey of beastifulness.?Make the year a memorable one.?
