Local Plan consultation

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is encouraging you to give your views on the draft plan that will guide development and planning decisions in the area until 2040.

Running until Monday 4 March 2024, the consultation on the draft Local Plan Update is your chance to get involved in deciding the future of the borough, including where new homes will be built and how we protect our environment.

It is important the borough has a strong planning framework in place, shaped by the people who live and work in it, to protect the borough from unsuitable development and create the kind of place we want.
