The Book is Finally Out!

It's official...for the first time in my life, I can say I'm a published author. While that feels fun to say and nice to write - what gives me the greatest satisfaction is what I hope this book and my writing will provoke and inspire in others. Since trickling out the book's availability to some friends and family, I've been overwhelmed by the reception so far and the unsolicited pictures I've been receiving of everyone's "unwrapping"

Last Sunday, I realized I'd put a QR code in the book for individuals to access the Business Artist Action Guide, but with everything going on with our product launch of Meahana - I hadn't yet built anything. Luckily, some transferable skills from startup life made putting the site together fast and easy!

Your Journey Ahead

In The Business Artist, we’ll use the metaphor of music to map out the journey of where we’ve been, where we’re going, and how we will get there.

In Part 1, we’ll explore why business seems so dissonant and out of tune today. It’s the “why” of the book. Part 1 lays the foundation for why we need a new approach to business and sales. We must understand the nature of the problem before we can talk about solutions. I’ll also explore what dissonance means (tension, harmony, or clashing between notes) and why that is a great metaphor for today’s business conditions.

In Part 2, we’ll look at melody, the pathway of the Business Artist. This section will describe why we need Business Artists and how to become one. We will also think about why melody (the rhythmic movement of notes in an ordered progression) is an appropriate metaphor for this approach.

Then, in Part 3, we will tie everything together in harmony to give you practical strategies and takeaways. This book is all about relationships. Relationships are like jazz, where there is a natural ebb and flow. Life and business are constantly evolving. We must not only get comfortable with change—we need to learn how to navigate it. With that in mind, Part 3 will focus on how to navigate change in five concentric circles below where we operate as Business Artists.
