Bushnell Theater- Did you know?
Bushnell Theater of the Performing Arts is located in the Heart of Hartford, Connecticut. Landmark since 1912. It’s named after Horace Bushnell, Yale-educated minister, and theologian. Mr. Bushnell was a great inventor and scientist of his time. He was also a pioneer of his time and well known and respected by many to sponsor this building. Both Horace Bushnell and his daughter, Dotha Bushnell Hillyer, who conceived and built The Bushnell as a permanent tribute to her father, left indelible imprints on the Capitol City. Dotha Bushnell Hillyer envisioned a world-class performing arts center in downtown Hartford which would both serve as a memorial to their beloved father and as "a gift to the people of Connecticut.... A center for the benefit of arts, science, and community activities." Are you interested in a tour of Hartford, New York, or Boston Nastah Your Personal Driver can take you on a sightseeing drive.
