Bushenyi Christians Encouraged To Embrace Gratitude And Appreciation For God's Blessings
On 1st Sept, the Nyariyanga Church of Uganda Karaaro Kyeizooba in Bushenyi District hosted a Thanksgiving service and ceremony organized by Mr. Amos, Dr. Grace Mwesigye and their family. The event celebrated the couple's 34 years of marriage, during which they also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to God for Mr. Mwesigye's recent conferral of a PhD from Louisiana Baptist University.
During the Thanksgiving service, Rt. Rev Dr Nathan Kamusiime Gasatura, the Retired Bishop of the Diocese of Butare Anglican Church of Rwanda, encouraged Christians to embrace a mindset of gratitude for life and the various achievements they have experienced along their journey, highlighting that God holds a special affection for those who offer their thanks.
Bishop Gasatura says that Christians should also trust in God because he knows all their destiny. He seized the moment to encourage the people of Kyeizooba to contribute to the improvement of Mungonya Secondary School, with the goal of raising its standards.
On behalf of his family, Mr. Amos Mwesigye, the Managing Director of Church of Uganda Family TV, provided an explanation for their choice to hold a thanksgiving service and ceremony. He applauded Bishop Nathan Kamusiime Gasatura for gracing the occasion.
The thanksgiving service collection of over 6 million shillings has been donated towards the completion of Nyariyanga Church of Uganda Karaaro kyeizooba
