A Bus driver story

There was a Bus driver, who had a dream to go on a long journey and visit all the best and beautiful places in the world, but those places were very far from his city, and it may take many years to see all the places which are in his checklist. Also, required lots of money to survive and keep his journey up and running. He decided to take a risk and aimed to visit all the places across the world. He made a plan and started his journey, but as the journey was very long it was difficult to complete this alone, he asked some friends and colleagues to join him to fulfil his dreams. In return, he gave them the attractive offers and benefits. The day he started his journey, he started alone but in between couple of people had started joining him and were willing to help him achieve his goal. As a team they spent a couple of years together and visited many places, the whole team was very helpful and hardworking, and they kept motivating and helping the Bus driver to drive more and more so that he could see all the places which are on his checklist.

Time passes, but still, the journey is on, and the Driver is still very enthusiastic about visiting most of the places as much as he can, A few of the team members had left due to their different desires but few of them were still with him and enjoying the journey. The bus driver also involved a few new young members so that the journey would be easy and faster because new members will come with fresh energy and plan which will help and motivate the other team members as well to achieve his target. Then again after spending a couple of years, he realised that their journey was on, the bus was still running but they were still not going anywhere, the same places were coming on the way which he had already seen, his count of places was stagnant, and team size was also more or less the same. The other competitors had also started the same journey at the same time, their team size had increased drastically, and their journey was also way ahead of his team. The outside people also admire and appreciate other team's journey than his team.


why no moving ......

Is this the time to analyse, what went wrong? what could be the possible reason for his slow speed and downfalls??

  • Are they on the right path or just comforting themselves while travelling on a round track?
  • Do the team members also have the same dream or aim that a Bus Driver had, or they are just enjoying the journey with no aim?
  • Are the same old members driving the bus with the same old strategies with no new action plan??
  • Are the new young members not in sync with the team goal and aim of the bus driver, rather they just want to rule and dictate their thoughts.

I am right, I am right

  • Is the old team enjoying the journey, rather than pushing and proving themself to set a new benchmark for young folks?
  • Are the team not adapting the new technology and strategies, but rather just believing in following the legacy system, which should be changed and updated as per the market trend??
  • Is there too much dependency on the members who are empowered to make decisions for the whole team?
  • Does every leader have a different plan and different strategies, which is taking the journey nowhere due to lots of conflicts within the team?

Do it as I said, you do it what I said earlier

  • Is this the right time to change the track, which may be more difficult, rough, and risky, but may take the team somewhere, instead of continuing to travel on the same round track with a very limited speed of growth and profit?

Well you always astonish us with your writing skills ?? My point of view on this story is it could be possible the driver might be struggling with communication and leadership skills. If the passengers aren't aligned with the driver's vision or feel disconnected from the journey, it could be due to unclear goals or a lack of effective communication about the route or purpose of the journey. The driver might need to reassess and communicate their vision clearly to keep everyone on board and motivated.
