Bursting Your Bubble

Bursting Your Bubble

I recently read a blog called “Bubble Burst”, which I could really relate to. It was about how we live in our own bubbles, and by traveling we burst those bubbles of comfort. When we eventually feel comfortable again, our bubbles grow bigger each time.

“This is called growth and it only happens through discomfort”

Well, I am sure like many of you during this crazy time we find ourselves in, my bubble has well and truly burst. Over the past eight years I have traveled the world, lived in the Middle East and Asia, each time growing and becoming more comfortable with my new bubble. With COVID-19 forcing decisions on us we didn’t want to make, somehow being in the comfort of my own home for the first time in so long, I have never felt so uncomfortable with all the uncertainty, but I know I am growing.

What I have learnt from this, I am definitely not done with traveling and seeing the world. How that looks at the moment is definitely blurry, but seeing how fast the world is changing with remote working, working from home or even the likes of Barbados and Dubai offering yearlong remote working visa’s, I’d like to think that that the possibilities to see the world and work at the same time - once we get through this restricted time - will be endless.

I'm sure you will have more adventures Jack! Unfortunately, it feels like in a way we've been put on a slight pause in all our lives.
