Burning issues and pressure points in business in May 2018 by Greg Kinnaird

GOT TIME FOR A CHAT?

– LANCE KINNAIRD IN COLLIE.

I caught up with Lance Kinnaird as his racecar instructor in Collie and asked if he’s got time for a chat.

Together, we openly discussed a range of insightful topics that focused on:

  • Competence and Capability
  • Developing Work Teams
  • Engagement and Inclusiveness
  • Developing a Learning Environment

All of which are burning issues and pressure points for workplace leaders today!

How you would respond to the following questions that I posed and discussed with Lance?

  1. Have you got any new starters in your workplace?
  2. Relating it to a racecar, is this like throwing a new starter in the deep end?
  3. If you have people that don't have a passion for their job, is it harder work for you?
  4. How can you make the day exciting, so they just don't think they are pushing a broom?
  5. Positive reinforcement - do you use a lot of that at work?
  6. When it comes to feedback, is no news - good news?
  7. Do you think some people are just more needy of feedback?
  8. Have you ever thought about asking for it (feedback) when you don't get it?
  9. In summary, what are your tips and tricks for high potential leaders?

I’d be interested in your thoughts and comments, let me know.

Hi my name is Greg Kinnaird and I’m passionate about developing high potential leaders and workforce capability.

Typically, you will find me involved in implementing workplace development initiatives, locally, nationally and internationally.

The following three emerging trends challenging and having an impact on businesses are:

  1. Leadership Development
  2. Culture and Engagement Initiatives
  3. Learning and Development Strategies

These future trends have also motivated me to write my latest book titled “Corporate Utopia – Finding Nirvana with High Potential Leaders”, which is available on www.amazon.com and www.lulu.com as – PaperbackHardcoverebook versions.

All this adds up to providing you with the confidence when partnering with Corporate Learning Solutions so that I can help you to navigate alternative solutions, provide you with ongoing consultancy and advice, plus ensure you avoid the hidden potential pitfalls when it comes to developing the capability and competence of your workforce.
