Burn Your Bridges

Burn Your Bridges

Will Smith once said, having a Plan B only distracts from pursuing Plan A. You have to stay committed to your plan without creating fallback options. In a speech that Arnold Schwarzenegger gave at the Arnold Sports Festival, Schwarzenegger reflected on his career and revealed one of his "rules" for living. "I hate Plan B," he said. "People perform better, in sports and everything else, if they don't have a Plan B. I've never, ever had a Plan B."

Across industries, we can see successful people take pride in the following traits and qualities and identify with them on a personal level:

·? ? ? ??Following high standards and pursuing an insatiable thirst for growth and knowledge

·? ? ? ??Exhibiting unwavering confidence in achieving desires -- to the point that this becomes part of their identity

·? ? ? ??Showing a commitment to creating value for others and contributing beyond satisfying themselves

Successful people burn bridges so that there is no way to go back.?And burning bridges is not about someone carelessly abandoning his or her connections and past. Instead, burning bridges is a form of?"inevitability thinking": By creating intentional shifts in mindset and choices, acting toward goals becomes inevitable - along with success.
