Burn it all down or keep going?

As a supply chain entrepreneur, you have to make bold choices on the daily. It can feel like the weight of the world is constantly resting on your shoulders. And in some ways, it is. That’s because your livelihood, and the livelihood of everyone on your team (and their families), depends on your actions and decisions.
Given that pressure, it's easy to find yourself feeling isolated at times. But you most certainly are not alone if that pressure gets to be too much.
Entrepreneurs are significantly more likely to experience mental health challenges than the general public.
In a separate research study of entrepreneurs a whopping 72% self-reported mental health concerns.
So what can you do?
Lean On Your Village
You may be the sole visionary behind your business, but that doesn’t mean you have to do it all alone alone. Surround yourself with a solid support system.
Maybe it's an executive coach, therapist or peer group.
For many it's your spouse.
Truthfully, though, it can be hard being the spouse of an entrepreneur.
I've gotten to know the spouses of several logistics entrepreneurs and it sometimes sounds like this:
"I'm just used to dinner and car rides always being interrupted by phone calls."
or
"They have a hard time separating from work - even when we're on vacation."
Does that sound familiar?
Last year on my podcast Kara Smith Brown the Founder & CEO of Lead Coverage shared how her husband has grown accustomed to the rollercoaster ride.
“I sent my husband a text earlier in the week that said: ‘I think it's all over - I have to burn it all down.’

Then the next day, I said: 'Hey, I just found out we made the Inc. 5000 list.'
He wrote me back and said:
“Day 1 = burn it down.
Day 2 = made the Inc 5000 list.
Being the spouse of an entrepreneur is a real trip.”
He seems like a great guy. I hope to meet him someday.
But having a supportive partner in this game is a super power so I hope you have one too.

Founder Community
Regardless of where you are at on your own journey, sometimes it's nice to just not be alone.
That's why over a year ago I started building a private community for logistics Founders. At first it was just a place for Founders to talk shop, build some new relationships and have a place to vent.
But over time it's become something far bigger than that. We now have dozens of Founders getting together virtually every month to share best practices, grow each others' businesses and help lighten the load.
Here's what Roberto Icaza, Co-Founder of Rapido Solutions Group in Guadalajara, MX had to say:
“It can be lonely at the top. But the camaraderie and collaborative spirit of this network of Founders is astounding. This community has become indispensable to me, both refining my craft as an entrepreneur and helping grow our business.”
If you're a Founder and that sounds appealing, CLICK HERE and we can share more information about how to connect.
In the meantime, I hope the ride is kind to you.
