Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese Celebrates Installation Of Bishop Ateirweho Amooti.

Thousands of people gathered on Sunday 11th Aug at St. Peter's Cathedral in Hoima for the installation of the new Bishop of Hoima Diocese, Rt. Rev. Jacob Ateirweho. The event drew dignitaries from various sectors, including the Queen of Bunyoro-Kitara, government ministers, Members of Parliament, religious and local leaders.

The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, represented the President of Uganda at the Consecration and enthronement of The 6th Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, delivering his message along with a brand-new Land Cruiser for the new Bishop. The Prime Minister appreciated the Diocese and the entire church for the peaceful transition.

Chairperson organizing Committee for the consecration ceremony gave an address noting of how all the money has been put into proper use and vowed to clear any pending debts as a Committee regarding the function. The committee gave in a car as an appreciation to the outgoing Bishop, Rt. Rev. Samuel Kahuma.

It being a Media Sunday, The Managing Director COU Family TV Mr Amos Mwesigye got chance to address thousands in attendance about the station and also rallied for their support to the media house.
