Bullies have compassion, too.
I don’t support bullying.
But I would like to share an interesting incident that I encountered.
I was sad, or rather, depressed, about personal matters.?
It was obvious on my face. Besides, I fail to fake a smile.
As I sat quietly in the office, some of my colleagues did care to ask if everything was okay.
Then there was this guy who had witnessed a colleague poking fun at me days ago. He thought that could be the reason and tried to console me.
Surprisingly, I learned that he himself is a bully among his peers. I was taken aback when he advised me not to take bullies seriously or give them any heed.
Seriously? Was this coming from a person who people consider a bully?
I couldn’t process him comforting me. It pushed me to think about the qualities less acknowledged in such a kind.
A study disclosed that bullies are twice as likely to suffer from mental health issues.
Why do bullies flaunt their dominant traits?
I am no expert. But all I know is that they deserve more emotional guidance and mental support to help them identify and embrace their promising sides.
