Bulletproof Entrepreneurship: When You're Ready, Dodging Becomes Unnecessary
Alex (Powerbuilding) Gavrilov
Helping tech professionals get fit, strong, and energized without long workouts or strict diets.
Christo Popov once said, "Being an entrepreneur means understanding everything."
?
If you are a musician, you have to understand music.
If you are a doctor, you have to understand the human body.
If you are a lawyer, you have to understand the law.
?
I never knew I was an entrepreneur until I heard these words from Christo Popov five years ago.
?
My so-called "career path" began at the age of 17.
?
My first job was at the nearest McDonald's in Plovdiv.
My first monthly salary was 230lv (115€).
?
It was one of the many punches life threw at me. I hated every second of it.
?
I promised myself to do whatever I could to never feel that way again.
?
So, I started studying.
It's funny because studying, as many people understand it, is again a product of the matrix, a product of the system.
?
I went to college while working night shifts to pay the bills at home and for the semester. Three years like that: work, study, train, repeat. Not much sleep, though.
?
Just before graduating, I started my first job as an X-ray technician with a mind-blowing salary of 300lv (150€). :D You understand why I am laughing, right?
?
Immediately, I told my boss to fuck off and found another job for 600lv (300€).
In six months, another one.
Another job brought me to the breaking point.
Basically, a full month of work without a free day and availability calls in the middle of the night to go to the hospital. For the maximum I managed to earn operating within the matrix in Bulgaria - 400€.
?
I decided to change the matrix and go to Germany. I started learning German from scratch.
?
I worked literally any job I could find, including one year "illegally" taking care of a millionaire's garden, painting walls, and importing kitchens from Bulgaria to Berlin. I delivered food for various employers, including Takeaway.
?
I was waiting for the matrix to approve my diploma in Germany, so I could start the "dream job" as an X-ray Technician for a better salary.
?
Of course, the matrix didn't approve it.
?
Then I decided to work around it. That's where the screaming entrepreneur in me started to awaken.
?
I recorded a video of myself presenting in a crappy German and sent it to the biggest hospital in Berlin and Europe - Charité - Universit?tsmedizin Berlin .
?
I got the job almost immediately, without the need for stupid documents. Well, working for less money than my colleagues, but the lesson here is clear - I have to bring out the entrepreneur in me.
?
A year and a half later, I decided to quit this "dream job" and dive deeper into the unknown. I called myself a personal trainer. This is my passion.
?
Just when I thought I escaped the matrix, a new version of it punched me in the face.
?
The corona crisis.
?
How good do you have to be with timing that the moment you decide to be a personal trainer, every single gym in the world will close their doors?
?
Yes, I needed to find a job, but before that, I invested every single saving I had into my dream. To get certified and hire a mentor, desperately hoping to not go on the job market again.
?
Well, the mentor encouraged me to find something; otherwise, it's stupid considering the situation. So, of course, I listened to him.
?
Welcome to delivering pizza again. :D
?
I started part-time at Takeaway while working on being a personal trainer. I was struggling to find clients, given the corona situation. That's why I hosted training sessions literally in our living room. My wife didn't like the idea, but I loved it because of the entrepreneurial vibe.
?
During this time, somehow I managed to keep myself on my feet. I proposed to my wife and started organizing a wedding.
?
We invested in our first home in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
?
I decided to follow the advice of Warren Buffett - "Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful."
?
I educated myself differently. The real way - through books and podcasts.
?
So in the middle of the crisis when people were rushing to buy toilet paper, we saw that S&P, DAX, and all kinds of ETFs were on a 50% discount. What a chance! We put a portion of our savings into it.

After the wedding, the gyms slowly started opening. I started gaining a bit of clientele, and life started to look promising again.
?
I was working part-time delivering pizza for Takeaway in Berlin, and every other moment and penny I was investing in my business.
?
Similar to the story of Ben Francis MBE , just that I am not that successful like him, yet.
?
My wife and I started traveling, visiting almost all countries in Europe, and we even went to Vietnam.
?
Life as an entrepreneur is fun. Just when you think you know all the answers, life changes the questions. A Christo Popov ?
?
In the middle of our vacation, my Steuerberater Robert Schulze called me that I have to pay an extreme amount of money to the matrix, daring to act as an entrepreneur. :D
?
Buy, buy dreams.
?
I was prepared, of course. I know the matrix. She will always find ways. I paid the shit and forgot about it, but they kept searching for me again and again. The agents. :D
?
Then I thought if I go to a forgotten village in Bulgaria, I will somehow find peace, and everything will be fine. :D Of course, I was not thinking I am going to escape the agents, but at least have some peace while fighting them.
?
Nope. Things don't work that way. I lost almost all of my clients for this move. And yes, my wife and I went on a journey all the way from Berlin to Bulgaria with our Ford Focus 1999, which was a gift from a thankful client and friend of mine.
?
So I burned the boats for real this time, and it was only me vs. me.
?
Either I become a successful Online Personal Trainer or.... I don't know what.
?
Well, the hard truth was that I didn't succeed in finding enough clients to maintain a normal life.
?
It was again one of those punches life gives you. But then I remembered. I am not only a personal trainer. I am an entrepreneur, right? Entrepreneurs find solutions to problems.
?
So I decided to reflect on all of my previous experiences so far and think about how to sell them.
?
For four years of battling as self-employed, I gained a lot of knowledge in Marketing, Sales, and Google Ads. I found my first clients with Google Ads, and some of them are still with me to this moment. Why not try to sell this and find a remote job?
?
That's exactly what I did. But it was super hard.
?
I sent 150 letters with not a single response. Another punch of life.
?
But what I learned so far is that if you only don't give up, life will give you what you want.
?
Somehow, I managed to not give up.
In these situations, when there is no rational explanation of how things can work out, people seek higher meaning and higher support.
?
So I went to the nearby chapel, hit my knees on the floor, and started asking questions....
?
What am I doing wrong? Why is it so hard to have a normal life? Why are you not giving me what I truly deserve, God? Why, why, why? I don't want that much, do I?
?
I let it all go at that moment.... I cried like a baby and let everything go.
?
This was the moment in which miracles started happening.
?
Only one company responded - Logifleet AG. After 150 rejections, I finally got a chance.
?
I gave my all in the interviews. I was already empty anyway. I had nothing to lose.
?
They gave me the job, and I even went to Switzerland to meet the team.
?
I made it. I sold myself again.
?
Then clients started writing me and wanting me to help them with their training and lifestyle.
?
In a matter of four months, my life transformed rapidly, living the life I never even dared to dream of.
?
I bought my dream motorcycle, learned skiing together with my wife, and we are about to have a baby. Working together with the best team in the world and working with the best clients, fulfilling my mission to inspire and help people live a healthy and strong life.
?
This is life, and this is entrepreneurship.
Now, good luck describing my CV to the agents in the matrix.
I am out.
Thanks, God!
