'Buks Win Together

The majority of my ethos was developed as a result of sports movies produced in the early 90's. Consequently, Emilio Estevez is a much larger influence in my work than I care to admit.

This year, however, I find this motif rather fitting.

My favorite movie scene growing up comes from D2: The Mighty Ducks. After a second period of selfish, indulgent play from Team USA, Coach Bombay addresses the team in the locker room about the importance of team play.

Just when you think they're about to break apart?

Imagine my excitement when Rod Reasen and Phil Daniels kicked off 2018 at Springbuk waving a simple banner: Win Together.

2018 started off with a bang at Springbuk. We raised a $20M Series B round of financing and received high praise from national, local, and industry press. We hosted a press conference with Indianapolis Mayor, Joe Hogsett, and we announced our moonshot. We strive to identify $4 Billion in potential health cost savings by 2020.

In moments like this, it would be incredibly easy to pound our chests, but this team is different. We're proud of what we've accomplished, but we also have a keen understanding that the challenge we've undertaken is large. While we are already leading the industry in several areas, we still have plenty of room to grow before we realize our true vision.

The axiom is true. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

At Springbuk, our journey is just beginning. This Series B round of financing wasn't close to our end goal. We're on a mission to tackle our nation's largest problem—rising healthcare costs—through the power of data, and money alone can't make this vision a reality. We need talented software engineers, data wranglers, sales executives, health strategists, and even some marketers. We need to tap the unique depth of talent that Indianapolis possesses, in both the healthcare space and the SaaS space, to reach our true potential.

We need you. We need the talented, ambitious dreamers who want to build Indianapolis' next unicorn, to step up and show the world how we tackle big problems in Indy. We need the help of genius engineers who are on a mission to prove that we build high-value technology here in Indianapolis. We need the health strategists who are tired of witnessing waste and who are ready to bring meaningful change to the industry.

The past year of my life has been the most fulfilling work I've done in my career. This team is unrivaled in both chemistry and talent. We're going to change the world, but we need your help.
