BuildUP ......Breakthrough !

?As I delved into "Good to Great," a particularly captivating section drew my attention. It illuminated compelling insights on the elements essential for building a company that endures and thrives, encompassing leadership, personnel, discipline, and culture. Here are few of them:

Level 5 Leadership:

A concept introduced by Jim Collins in his book "Good to Great," describes a leadership style characterized by a unique blend of personal humility and professional will. Level 5 leaders are remarkably ambitious for their organizations rather than for themselves. They are more like Lincoln and Socrates than Patton or Caesar. They possess a powerful mix of humility and fierce resolve, demonstrating a paradoxical blend of personal humility and professional will. These leaders are committed to the success of their organizations above their own personal success. They channel their ego needs away from themselves and into the larger goal of building a great company or organization. They are willing to make difficult decisions for the long-term benefit of the organization, even if those decisions may not bring immediate personal recognition or gain.

First Who….Then What :-? It highlights that the quality of individuals, not just their presence, is paramount for success. People are the most important asset.People are not the most important assets but right people are.

Confront the Brutal Facts : You must maintain unwavering faith that you can and you will prevail in the end, regardless of difficulties AND at the same time have the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality , whatever they might be.

?

The Hedgehog Concept : Simply having years or even decades of experience in a certain field doesn't guarantee excellence. If you can't excel in your core business to the point of being the best globally, then that core business cannot serve as the foundation for building a truly great company.?

?

A Culture of Discipline :

Certain companies boast culture, others exhibit discipline, yet only a select few cultivate a culture of Discipline. With disciplined individuals, hierarchy becomes obsolete; with disciplined thinking, bureaucracy dissolves. The fusion of a culture of discipline and an entrepreneurial ethic yields a transcendent synergy, resulting in extraordinary performance.

?

Technology Accelerators :

Great companies don’t use technology as prime means of igniting a transformation. Technology itself is never a primary root cause of either greatness or decline. Remarkable companies don't rely solely on technology to spark transformation. Technology, in itself, is never the primary catalyst for greatness or decline.

?

The Flywheel : No singular defining action, no grand program, no solitary stroke of innovation, no stroke of luck, no miracle moment. It's an unwavering commitment to relentlessly push a colossal flywheel in a singular direction, steadily amassing momentum until the breakthrough point and beyond.

From good to great to built to last :

Built to last is how you take a company with great results and turn into an enduring great company of iconic stature. To take the final shift requires core values and purpose of iconic status. To make that final shift requires core values and a purpose beyond just making money combined with key dynamic of preserve the core.
