Having a healthy level of self-conficence can help you be more successful in your personal and professional lives. I am going to give you some tips on ways to improve your self confidense.
Do not compare yourself to others. Each one of us is unique and our abilities differ from one person to the next.
Surround yourself with positive people. If you have someone who is running you down, you need to spend no time with them. They can influence your thoughts and actions more than you realize.
Take care of yourself with your diet, exercise, meditation, and sleep.
Be kind to yourself.
Practice positive self talk. When negative thoughts come into your brain, say the opposite of the positive things to yourself, and if appropriate, be saying them aloud.
Face your fears. Personally, I use a favorite scripture. Romans 8:28 All things work together for good, for those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.
Do things that you are good at. This can help your confidence soar! It reinforces positive thoughts and actions.
Know when to say "No"! Overloading yourself by saying yes to things you don't have time for, can have a negative impact on you because you get overwhelmed with guilt and stress when you cannot get it all accomplished.
Set realistic goals for yourself. Be sure to write down your goals as well. It helps to make them more concrete in your mind. Accomplish the baby steps, then build up to more as your confidence level grows.
