One of the topics we covered at this year's Canadian Staffing Summit was how to build your own personal brand.
If you own a recruitment business, or you're leading a practice area, then having a strong personal brand in the industry can be a real differentiator.
Why don't more people do this? Why don't people start a podcast or YouTube channel or series of LinkedIn Lives? We're all rooted in fear!
What are we going to say that people are really going to care about? There's self-doubt creeps in.
This clip shares some of my experiences of creating a podcast and developing a voice. I hope it inspires!
I was joined on stage by Jeremy Schreifels , who also shared his thoughts on what you can expect to experience in the early weeks of growing your podcast.
It's normal for things to not be as polished as you would want them to be.
It's normal for it to take some time for your voice to be developed and to come across the way you really want to be perceived in the market. But stick with it and you'll reap the rewards.
Take a couple of minutes to watch each of these videos and I hope you'll be inspired to work on something a little out of your comfort zone that really helps establish your personal brand in the sectors you serve...
