Building Your Career
Every youngster visualizes a bright future, and a successful career, only the definition of bright and success varies. Reminds one of the song
Papa kehte hain bada naam karega My dad says that I'll make him proud
Beta hamara aisa kaam karega That his son will do such good work
Magar yeh toh koi na jaane But no one knows
Ke meri manzil hain kahan Where my destination is
from the movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which launched Aamir Khan's and Juhi Chawla's careers on the big screen. Coincidentally it was also the year my batch's careers were launched, though on a more prosaic level. These words jibed with us then, and continue to resonate today.
Indeed everyone of my batch mate's journey has been unique; successful in its own way, and second to none. Some did what they were expected (destined?) to do, others surprised everyone (broke the shackles?).
These careers, like Rome, were not built in one day, but were the result of countless hours of hardwork, relentless persistence, unwavering dedication, and uncompromising commitment.
