Market forecast: Demand is set to rise as the economy stabilises


With demand set to strengthen as 2025 approaches, the outlook is brighter. A much-needed period of economic stability will stimulate a recovery in private sector investment. However, market dynamics remain challenging, contractor capacity is depleted and risk aversion is elevated. Brian Smith of 艾奕康 reports.

Why we need a built environment GCSE to inspire the next generation


We need a revolution in the way we attract talent to the industry, says RICS president Tina Paillet, FRICS .

"A shortage of skilled workers in the built environment industry has led to a growing gap between the demand for infrastructure development and the available workforce. The consequences include delays and increased costs for construction projects and limits to the sector’s capability to meet the demand for new housing and infrastructure."
