Building United Communities Through Good Relations and Sport ???????

Last week, PeacePlayers Northern Ireland hosted an unforgettable three-day midterm multi-sports camp at Queen’s Sport Belfast, bringing together young people from across Northern Ireland for an experience filled with teamwork, learning, and fun. ??

From basketball to soccer, Gaelic to rugby, participants didn’t just hone their sporting skills—they built friendships transcending backgrounds and traditions. At the heart of the camp was our PPNI Good Relations sessions, where our local team facilitated a conversation on “Building United Communities”—reinforcing the idea that sport has the power to bridge divides and create lasting connections. ????

Gareth Harper , Managing Director, said, "On behalf of PeacePlayers, I want to extend a huge thank you to our funders, the T:BUC (Together Building a United Community) Camps Programme, for making this event possible. This support allowed every participant to attend for free, with transportation provided, removing barriers and ensuring accessibility for all who took part in PeacePlayers' Bridging Divides T:BUC camps across Northern Ireland."

An important mention and thank you goes out to the sports coaches who joined us from Newry Fliers Basketball Club, GaelFit Limited, Gareth McCord, and Carrick Rugby throughout the week!
