Building Trustworthy Leadership

Building Trustworthy Leadership

Do organisations spend enough time on teaching trust? Find out more by watching this video:

Building Trustworthy Leadership is a two day programme at The University of Cambridge Judge Business School.

Overview

Build and rebuild trust in your teams and organisation.

Trust management is a key skill. It underpins the building of a collaborative climate which can help achieve greater collective success. Although the importance of trust is much discussed, many leaders have no clear strategy on how to deal with, and manage, what many regard as a vague concept.

The primary purpose of this module is to provide a better understanding of what trust stands for. Perhaps more importantly, we examine how to engage in active strategies which will enable you to manage the building of trust in your teams and organisations. True to the experiential nature of the certificate, we will use exercises and case studies to see trust at work and to learn the skills needed to influence the development of the concept at different levels.

Topics covered include:

  • An in-depth understanding of the notion of trust
  • Understanding the different ways trust can make a difference in your business success
  • How to manage the process of trust building in relationships
  • To understand what is needed to maintain trust and identify the pitfalls
  • What to do if trust fails and how to repair it
  • The assessment of a personal trust crisis situation

This programme counts as one course for those completing the Cambridge Judge Business School General Management Certificate of Achievement. On completing the GMCA you will be eligible to become an associate member of Cambridge Judge Business School's global network of graduates and business-focused University of Cambridge alumni, faculty and staff.

"Teaching trust"? Trust can be developed or built but "taught," I don't think so.
