Building Strong Talents and Leading our Industry Into the Future!
With SAP’s global network of customers, partners, employees, and thought leaders, we set out to help the world run better and improve people’s lives. But to do that, we not only have to push our innovative thinking and collaboration forward, we must ensure that our employees expand their skills, and that they are equipped with the tools, knowledge and experience to lead and to explore all possibilities every day.
In support of that, we implemented a strong People Agenda and Skill Management to inspire a continuous learning culture and promote a cloud software engineering culture. Our objective was to form an organization of great talents operating from a common place of knowledge, experience and latest innovative technologies. It ensured that all employees successfully transformed with us on our journey of delivering the Intelligent Enterprise.
As our IT organization moved the scale from a pure service provider to a business enabler, customer centricity and business agility have taken center stage. The nice thing is that our focus on the People Agenda is closely tied in with our Agile Transformation. Focusing on Agile Ways of Working and changing our culture and mindset allows us to develop a growth mindset that also impacts our diversity and inclusion objectives and expands our innovation through learning!
We are currently hosting our Agile Days 2021, where we provide our employees with the time and space for dialogue and gaining deeper insights into our Agile Transformation. The focus is on sharing how teams can improve efficiency through trust and value metrics, by measuring what matters most. We are also exploring how IT operates on a common cadence of releases, and how we develop innovative leaders, such as the new addition of Release Train Engineers, a new Agile related career path expansion within IT. By sharing our experiences, especially those of learning and growths, moves us from an Agile Transformation into the mindset of BEING Agile.
Another strategic topic for us is the intelligent data-driven enterprise, with analytics and data at the very core. A lot of progress has been made with respect to predictive data company steering and data infused intelligence, along with Hyperautomation of business processes. It is driving the intelligent enterprise and we are very keen in keeping our employees’ skills on par with that. And so, I am thrilled about the upcoming virtual Analytics and Data Days, taking place on June 15 and 16, 2021. Under the headline of - navigate curiosity, there is always something you can explore – this year’s event targets all SAP employees dealing with analytics solutions and dashboards, data management and the SAP HANA database. This is an SAP key event where employees across several board areas will participate in global sessions, hosting internal and external speakers, and spanning across a variety of keynotes, in addition to various interactive content streams.
As I am looking ahead towards what is still to come in 2021, I am very excited about our focus on skill development and the continuous building of strong talents, leading our industry into the future!
