Building Stage Confidence

The only way to build confidence, and conquer stage anxiety, is by taking small steps towards the podium. As we cannot learn to swim by watching others do lap after lap. The only way to learn, is by diving in water. The water feels cold to begin with but after some time we get used to it, and even start enjoying. Similar analogy applies to Public Speaking and stage appearances. Students must be provided with various occasions to perform. With repeated opportunities, they overcome their fears, gain confidence and then comes a time when they begin to enjoy the limelight. Gurus Education classes and shows do exactly that. In our classes, with the promise of “Air Time Every Time”, each student gets a chance every week to perform.  We host and sponsor multiple big shows and tournaments throughout the year to provide students with the platform to shine! One of the shows was FOG Youth Cultural Showcase at Santa Clara Convention Center on Sunday January 28th. Students from different cultures came together and walked the big stage at the convention center.
