Building Skills Together: NDT Apprenticeships with the ASNT Foundation, AWS, JFF, and SAFAL Partners

In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week (17-23 November 2024), the ASNT Foundation and the American Welding Society (AWS), in collaboration with Jobs for the Future (JFF) and SAFAL Partners, are hosting a free, one-hour webinar to discuss the impact of apprenticeships on skilled trades and the nondestructive testing (NDT) profession. This event will discuss the ASNT Foundation's newly United States Department of Labor (USDOL)-approved NDT guideline apprenticeship standards. Additionally, it will focus on implementing rigorous and effective hands-on training programs to advance the NDT workforce and share how the ASNT Foundation will provide resources and technical support to ensure seamless implementation.?

Attendees will also learn how USDOL provides resources like Apprenticeship.gov and funding opportunities to support apprenticeship programs. Centers of Excellence and partnerships with intermediaries such as SAFAL Partners and Jobs for the Future offer technical assistance and promote diversity. These collective efforts enhance the development and expansion of apprenticeship programs across various sectors.?
