BUILDING A SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ECOSYSTEM DRIVEN BY AI AND COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT

In the current scenario of open science and collaborative innovation, the creation of scientific research ecosystems requires strategic community management capable of connecting stakeholders, facilitating co-creation, and personalizing the experience of each participant. I have been exploring this topic in depth in my two projects - the “Cultural Landscape Community AI Hub” and “AI + Anticipatory Governance = Next-Gen Cultural Landscape Intelligence” - exploring how AI can transform participatory governance and knowledge management in scientific and cultural communities. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping this dynamic, allowing communication and engagement to be tailored to the role of each actor - be they researchers, public managers, academic institutions or civil society.

Generative AI plays a central role in this process, being used to create dynamic content, from personalized research summaries to the production of reports and interactive materials that facilitate the understanding and dissemination of knowledge. In strategic planning, advanced AI models help map interactions, identify trends, and anticipate community needs, creating more relevant and proactive experiences for participants.

In addition, the use of AI Agents as content moderators, relationship facilitators and cultural risk managers brings a new layer of efficiency and inclusion to the ecosystem. This ensures that diversity and plurality of perspectives are respected, while at the same time improving the quality of engagement.

Finally, monetizing the community through structured community management not only strengthens the sustainability of the ecosystem, but also generates direct value for its members. The creation of solid networks, the sharing of qualified knowledge, and the provision of specialized services can become revenue opportunities in the concepts of the Creative Economy and the Creator Economy. Thus, the synergy between AI and community management not only optimizes scientific collaboration, but also creates new economic models based on social impact and open innovation. ????
