Building a school for children in Guatemala

My name is Damir and I am obsessed with making a difference in the World and improving the lives of others. I have been through some terrible things in my life.

When I was 5 years old, the war broke out in Bosnia & Herzegovina & Croatia. My mom and me had to flee to Germany. In Germany, my life changed forever where I began to stutter severely. I was bullied in school and humiliated.I couldn't talk for a year.

During my entire childhood, I had health problems. I spent most of my childhood in the hospital. When I was 8, I experienced pneumonia. My life was saved by one skilled doctor in the hospital in Split, Croatia. I nearly died.

When I was 18 years old, my mom died and my world crashed again. She was my everything, my entire World.

I can't tell that I am the same man today. I am stronger now. I am more resilient. I am a Fighter. Let me tell you that life doesn't know with whom he is messing around.

Now, I have a VISION. My vision is to inspire 80 million people who stutter in the World with my upcoming book and build a school for children in Guatemala with the entire proceeds from the book.

Me and my Team Legacy are committed to raising 50 000 $ by 1st of August 2017 for the school. In Guatemala, there are 60 % of children who are illiterate. I decided to slightly change this statistic with 1 school for now.

I believe that education can change many lives. I am here because someone invested in my education. We are all here because someone invested in us. Those children in Guatemala don't have that opportunity. Me alone can't do much but together we can achieve anything! Small donations can add up to a HUGE POSITIVE IMPACT in the children's lives.
