Building a Safer Tomorrow
Every day, somewhere in New York, New Jersey, Miami and other major cities, I ask my employees to step off the edge of high rises and dangle in harnesses from heights most people would never. They do this in order to simply do their jobs. That's why safety stands as the cornerstone of every project and operation, large or small. At Thompson Exterior, we are firm believers in the paramount importance of safety, viewing it not only as a regulatory requirement but as a moral obligation that shapes our entire approach to our work and leadership.
Our commitment to safety stems from the understanding that every person involved in our projects is a valuable human being with loved ones, aspirations, and a right to return home safely. Safety is not just a protocol; it's a promise to protect the lives of our employees, clients, and the communities we serve.
Contrary to the misconception that prioritizing safety may slow down progress, we have found that a safe working environment is a productive one. When our team feels secure, they can focus on their tasks without constant worry, resulting in increased efficiency and high-quality output. Sparkling glass and gleaming chrome may be the visible results of what they do, but for me, it's knowing each team member left the job feeling great about the work, not stressed from the actions it took to complete it.
It's not just heights, harnesses and fall protection that factor in to our regular focus on safety. In making facade repairs, our employees are also mixing chemicals, creating patching mixtures and handling products that can become toxic. So safety glasses, clothing and foot covers, gloves and other equipment are mandatory, even if they make maneuvering more cumbersome.

In an industry built on trust, reputation is everything. Clients, partners, and stakeholders are more likely to engage with a company known for its unwavering commitment to safety. By prioritizing the well-being of all involved, we not only meet industry standards but surpass them, earning the trust and confidence of those we collaborate with.
Our dedication to safety is not just for the duration of a project but for the long-term sustainability of our company. By investing in safety training, equipment, and protocols, we create a culture of safety that becomes ingrained in our workforce. Just this week, I have two team members down in Texas getting trained and certified by industry leaders in systems that enhance our results on your property, but that involved materials that require care in handling.
Embracing technological advancements is a key component of our safety philosophy. From state-of-the-art protective gear to cutting-edge monitoring systems, we continuously explore and integrate innovations that enhance the safety of our workforce and the communities where we operate. Safety is not merely a checkbox on a project plan for us; it's a belief that echoes through every decision, action, and innovation. That is the Thompson Touch.
