Building the Right Solution for Industrial Mini Computers

We’ve been receiving many inquiries about mini computers with external graphics cards designed for industrial use. This has been a challenging but rewarding journey for us at Mootek.

Over the past 1.5 years, we worked through four different case designs before finalizing the one you see above. While the financial investment wasn’t huge, the real challenge was time—time is more valuable than money. But after extensive efforts, we are now ready for mass production.

One of the biggest challenges in designing an aluminum case for a mini computer with an external GPU is managing power efficiently while maintaining a compact form factor. Our customers wanted a low-profile, rugged, and power-efficient solution. So, we developed two designs: ? A fanless, low-power version for efficiency-focused applications. ? A high-performance version with a next-generation CPU and an advanced NVIDIA GPU.

Many existing cases in the market are built for general high-performance computing, but industries require something different—rugged, robust, and built to withstand demanding environments. Recognizing this gap, we took the initiative to create a specialized design tailored for industrial applications.

At Mootek, we specialize in project-based customization, OEM design, and branding. We also help customers obtain necessary certifications such as BIS, CE, EN50155, and EN45545 based on their requirements.
