The foundation of social media strategy is to build influence within your community. Influence leads to the know, like and trust which leads to a future loyal audience.
There's a saying that people do business with those they know, like and trust.
And the more visible you are as an individual or a business, the more opportunities you are exposed to. Visibility creates opportunity.
So, I want to share something around what our speaker for upgrade said about building networks and how valuable it is to not just our business, but also our personal growth

I know as an entrepreneur; we sometimes see social media as a millennial thing or something that we need to do just for the sake of existing on the platform...
But there is a massive call and need for us as entrepreneurs to be in the space of our customers... We need to know what they know, see what they see and hear what they hear. That way we can speak the language they speak
Many of us have heard things like knowing your target audience that way you could create products that can satisfy their needs, but how can we know whose need we can satisfy when we are not in their space?
Daily there is a big transformation in businesses and ever since the pandemic, many have ported into the online community.
The market is now in favour of those who know their stuff well and are consistently feeding their space with the right material, both as a product and service
Content marketing is King and if you are not buying into it yet, please starts now... I want us here to really be intentional about growth, both online and offline
I want us to start treating our online platforms as part of our business strategy... Have a plan that accommodates our business online platforms and intentionally be investigated towards its growth.
If you can be on all platform, make sure to pick a platform or two that you deliberate want to grow and I beg you, grow it...
Let's not be lazy as entrepreneurs, if not the train we pass us... We need to consistently be pushing even when the results are not showing because the truth is that it will add up...
Steve Jobs in his famous speech said a very noteworthy quote that says "We don't connect the dots forward; we connect them backwards"
And when you start growing your online platforms, you start building your tribe and community... And the good thing about community is that you can do just about anything with it...
Oprah Winfrey can command that much authority because she has a tribe of people that is ready to do whatever she wants them to do.
Community is so powerful because it can save you years of financial struggles...
My pastor said something in one of his sermon that is so profound to me and is very applicable to the growth and worth of our Network, he said when people don't want you in the circle it's a sign that you need to start building your own... My addition to it is to make it so attractive that it will be a premium for people to be part of it.
I have an example of someone I look up to on LinkedIn and I advise each and everyone to hop on the disco. LinkedIn is the next big thing for B2B and B2C...
But in her testimony, she talked about how she started to consistently post on LinkedIn in 2018 through thick and thin, with a cracked phone, living with her younger sister in school because she had no house of her own. Then one day, someone who has been following her contents for 6month as of 2018 reached out to her and ask her to build something in the medical space. Today because of that relationship and friendship and because of her consistency in showing up they have together building multimillion-dollar business in the medical space. Today, because of her consistency she has accumulated a view of over 100million, with a monthly view of 25-30million all organic. what people pay thousands of dollars to achieve on LinkedIn... Today she's the go-to hub for all things medical media, content strategy for business and many more... She has built a thought leadership career under 2.5years, by just being consistent daily.

In conclusion, we all need to start building the right networks and capacity for the expansion we seek.
Here's how;
1. Select the platforms you want your business to be found in.
2. Set it up to speak the language of those you want to attract... Be professional about it, remember it's our global visibility and portfolio.
3. Strategize on the best medium to deliver valuable and thoughtful contents that help better the lives of your audience (tribe).
4. Start posting and engaging.
5. Build a trend (i.e your brand #hastag) that's your ticket for brand identity in the online space.
6. Be human and listening.
7. Be consistent.
8. Constantly challenge yourself, get out of your comfort zone and work.
9. Treat your platforms as your online real estate. Be very intentional about it.
10. Don't forget to keep learning and positively criticizing the process. Learn, Unlearn and Relearn.
