Building Relationships Around the World

Building Relationships Around the World

One of the greatest wins for me personally and professionally over the last fourteen years has been the fabulous people I’ve met and the relationships I developed.?

I have had great opportunities to explore the U.S. my entire life, attending college and law school out of state with lots of travel via academic and extracurricular activities. As I entered my early career years, those opportunities only grew due to the professional roles I served in.?

The layers were laid at every turn for a deep professional network to be created.?

By the time I began my consulting firm, those relationships were well planted and ready to bear fruit. There were opportunities I never imagined presented to me because of the thoughtfulness and unwavering support of my colleagues, new and old. So many of these same folks became dear friends as we started and grew families and served in our community together.?

And then 2020 hit. At a time when there were so many other challenges on the business side, there was nothing to prepare me, or anything else, for what that year brought.

?As someone who spent so much of her career in person, in front of people, going virtual overnight was frightening.?

?And then, it happened. Those relationships came through yet again, both virtually and in real life.?

Fast forward to today, and the last four weeks alone speak volumes to the depth and expansiveness of relationships created over the years. My Californian law school roommate whose family became my daughter’s family away from home while attending college. My biz besties from Canada, Wisconsin, Texas, and Ohio didn’t hesitate to join in collaborative projects virtually. My local mompreneur friend of seventeen years has joined my athletic son’s unofficial fan club. My brainy biz twin, coach, and friend checking in on me from down under.

The ups and downs of being an entrepreneurial leader all fade to the back as these rich relationships rise to the forefront of representing what LIFE is all about.?

I am thankful for every person that has been gifted to me as a result of my professional and business journey.
