Welcome to another exciting chapter in my ALX Foundations journey! ??

This week was all about confidently presenting myself to the world.

Imposter syndrome? Not here!

I know I'm amazing, skilled, and ready to make a difference. My skills map stands as a testament to my evolution since the inception of this incredible expedition. It's a colourful mosaic of knowledge and expertise, a visual representation of the journey that's brought me here.

It’s all about confidently showcasing the valuable 21st-century skills I've acquired. After all, what's better than acquiring skills? It's showing the world what you can do! Week 14 was all about harnessing that confidence and letting it shine through a polished bio, an impressive portfolio, and an engaging website.

Let's dive deeper into the highlights of this remarkable week! ????

As usual, week 14 started with the daily 3: Neuroplasticity ????: the brains ability to rewire and change in response to learning and experience.

And for those moments when our goals seem a bit out of reach, a question emerged:

To answer this, we embarked on a brief yet impactful 2-minute re-centering practice ???—a moment to recalibrate our focus and realign with our aspirations.

Recap on Elevator Pitch: Elevating My Introduction

Remember that in Week 12, my peers and I practiced crafting our elevator pitches. It was an exercise in succinctly "selling ourselves" in around 60 seconds. But this time, I elevated my pitch by highlighting the new skills and achievements I've discovered about myself in recent weeks.

• ?? The Hub Activity: a crucial part of this process. It had one more revision of my Elevator Pitch after I had crafted my portfolio. Meeting with peers allowed us to exchange valuable feedback, refining both the content and delivery of our pitches.

Personal Branding Part 2: Portfolio and Website

Personal branding is an ongoing journey. In Week 14, I added two essential elements to strengthen my brand:

• ?? My Portfolio: This is where my work and accomplishments shine. It's a visual representation of my journey and capabilities.
• ???? My Website: A central hub that houses my bio, portfolio, and elevator pitch. It's the go-to place to learn everything about where I currently stand professionally.

The Personal Branding module covered vital aspects, answering fundamental questions like why building a portfolio is crucial and what constitutes an exceptional portfolio. We ventured into the realm of website creation, exploring topics such as what to include on our websites, choosing the right website host, and understanding domain names. By the end of this module, I had not only expanded my knowledge but could also differentiate between a resume, CV, and portfolio, among other valuable insights.

?????? Let's Build Your Website: Activity:

Following the detailed steps in my module, I meticulously constructed my online platform, an exciting endeavour that brought all the pieces of my personal brand together.

Just like the previous week, my journey in Week 14 maintained its focus. I continued to review the content, making sure to engage only with activities relevant to my chosen tech track. Each tech track had its dedicated module, ensuring that I could fine-tune my learning experience.

A significant part of this week revolved around my Portfolio Requirements for AWS. I dived deep into an AWS Overview, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of this tech specialization. But it didn't stop at theory; I explored how an AWS Engineer builds a captivating portfolio, taking inspiration from a practical example—an AWS Engineer's Web Portfolio.

The highlight of the week was undoubtedly the Portfolio-building activity. This was where I put my newfound knowledge and skills to the test, crafting a portfolio that would not only reflect my growth but also impress potential employers.

But the journey didn't end there. I took the next step by embedding my Portfolio seamlessly onto my website, creating a cohesive online presence that showcased my capabilities to anyone who visited.

The culmination of this week's activities was the "Show off Your Portfolio" Hub Activity.

Here, I had the opportunity to share my meticulously crafted portfolio with my peers, giving them a glimpse of my progress and potential.

This milestone marked a significant shift as it consisted of a series of activities to showcase my experience and skills ??. ?

• I shared my LinkedIn profile on the ALX learning platform.
• I created a personal website showcasing my: Portfolio, Bio, Elevator pitch (this was a placeholder page until i recorded my elevator pitch in week 15).
• I shared my LinkedIn profile on the ALX learning platform and built a personal website that hosts my Portfolio, Bio, and Elevator Pitch.

?So, here we are, at the end of another transformative week in my ALX Foundations journey. It's incredible to see how far I've come, and I couldn't have done it without your support and the guidance of this amazing program.
