Building a Path to Reopen, Safely

In the next several months, millions of Americans will be returning to job sites while COVID-19 remains a part of our every-day reality. We know there will not be a return to the old way of life anytime soon, so how can we prepare for the “new normal?” What does a safe re-opening look like?
At Salesforce, we’re focused on three areas: the health and safety of employees, helping our customers navigate this crisis, and supporting our communities around the world. Initially, we launched Salesforce Care, a suite of free solutions designed to help businesses find stability. Now, a more complicated recovery phase lies ahead.
As always, we’ve been deeply listening to our customers and community leaders to hear what they need, and some clear themes have come up. Organizations will need to adhere to the ever-changing local and federal guidelines. They’ll need new ways of planning, managing and monitoring employee and workforce readiness; facilities preparedness; and emergency management response. They’ll need strong collaboration across departments, and tools to make data-driven decisions quickly and communicate to employees, partners and customers at scale.
This morning we launched a new initiative, Work.com, which brings together the full power of health experts, business leaders and the Salesforce ecosystem to help leaders safely and responsibly manage returning to the workplace, reopen communities and prepare for a new normal. We built new products including a command center, manual contact tracing, and apps for employee wellness and workforce staffing so organizations can better guide re-entry to the workplace and make data driven decisions. And because everything is built on the Salesforce platform, it’s easily configurable.
This is a highly approachable resource to guide fast decision making. For example, the Work.com Command Center is a single hub for leaders to get a 360-degree view of return-to-work readiness across locations, employees and visitors, make data-driven decisions, take action and communicate effectively. It allows organizations to bring together trusted data from internal applications and employee wellness surveys, create and disseminate important employee communications at scale, and surface public data through the Tableau COVID-19 data hub.
For guidance and insights on businesses navigating the COVID-19 crisis and what comes next, please take a look at our new re-open safely resources. In addition, each week we host a live event called Leading Through Change, where we provide information, tips, and resources to help manage your business in a time of need. We’re also still matching donations to the World Central Kitchen, so if you’re in a position to donate, text MEALS to 80100 to donate $10 and help us provide meals to families in need.
As we continue to navigate and adjust to this new landscape, together, we strive to be a resource for everyone. We are here for you and believe we will work through this, stronger than ever.
