Building Partnerships and Living the Expat Life with Lucy Driscoll

In the latest episode of Hoxton Life I sat down with Lucy Driscoll , our inspiring Partnerships Manager, to explore her journey with Hoxton Wealth , her unique role, and her transition to life in Dubai. Lucy’s story is one of ambition, adaptability, and an innovative approach to financial planning partnerships, shedding light on what it’s really like to be part of our growing, international team.

Lucy’s role at Hoxton Wealth isn’t your typical one in the financial planning world. As our Partnerships Manager, Lucy focuses on expanding our network to ensure our clients have access to a “one-stop-shop” experience, almost like a family office. Her mission? To foster relationships with other businesses that complement what we do at Hoxton Wealth, making financial planning a seamless experience for our clients.

“For me, partnerships are about thinking outside the box,” Lucy shared. “It’s not just about accountants and solicitors. There’s a whole world of opportunities, like relocation firms or even pet relocation companies—any business that might be connected to people moving and planning their financial future.”

Lucy’s transition to Dubai has also been a journey of adapting to a new culture and work environment. Unlike the bustling networking scene in London, where you can attend multiple events in a week, Dubai’s networking landscape requires a bit more digging. But as Lucy pointed out, that’s part of what makes it exciting.

“Here, you have to work a bit harder to find your tribe,” she explained. “But once you do, you’re meeting people from all over the world, each with unique motivations.”

One thing Lucy has truly embraced is Dubai’s safety and unique cultural atmosphere, which she says has been a game-changer.

“There’s nothing nicer than knowing you can go out at night, return safely, and not have to worry about your belongings,” she said. “Dubai is intense, but the energy here comes from people building something new every day.”

Lucy also shared her enthusiasm for Hoxton Wealth’s recent rebrand, a change from Hoxton Capital Management that she feels represents the company’s evolution.

“I think Hoxton Wealth better reflects who we are and what we offer—a holistic, globally-minded financial planning experience,” she explained. By aligning with the UK’s high standards of advice and executing them globally, we’re helping clients feel confident in their financial future, no matter where they’re based

Looking ahead, Lucy is excited to continue expanding Hoxton’s partnerships on an international scale. From her vision to bring our partnership model to markets like South Africa and Australia, to collaborating on exciting new projects within the company, Lucy’s forward-thinking approach is all about creating new opportunities and adding real value.
