Building our production facility: Lessons learned and progress made
As we continue setting up our new production facility, we’ve encountered some interesting surprises—especially when it comes to infrastructure and adapting to different building standards. Here’s a look at our experience so far.
Navigating unexpected infrastructure challenges
One of the more unexpected hurdles came when we needed to check on a potential issue with our HVAC system. At the same time, we noticed something unusual about some of our electrical outlets—specifically, that they only had two wires instead of the typical three.
A closer inspection by certified electricians revealed that, despite their appearance, the outlets were properly grounded. The reason? An older U.S. construction method that grounds outlets through the metal box and screws rather than using a separate grounding wire. While modern electrical standards generally require three wires, this older method is still compliant and safe.
Key takeaways from our experience
As we continue working on our facility, we’ve learned a few important lessons:

Looking ahead
Beyond the technical aspects, setting up our production space has also been an opportunity to shape a facility that reflects our company’s values. From design choices to sustainability efforts, every decision helps build a workspace that supports both efficiency and innovation.
As we move forward, we’ll continue sharing updates on our progress and the lessons we’re learning along the way. If you’re involved in similar projects, we’d love to hear your insights—let’s build something great together!
