Building a Niche with Specialty Notary Work (SNW)
Bill Soroka
I train high performance notaries at NotaryCoach.com and we showcase their skills and availability on the directory of the world's best notaries, Gotary.com. When you need a professional notary, think Gotary!
Loan signings get all the glory, but let’s not forget the bread and butter of the notary world—Specialty Notary Work (SNW). If you’ve ever wished for a steady stream of appointments without relying on lenders, SNW is your ticket.
Special Notary Work is far from “basic.”
In Beyond Loan Signings: The Ultimate Guide to Monetizing Your Notary Commission with Specialty Work, Laura Biewer and I dedicate an entire book to showing how SNW can become one of the most lucrative and consistent services you offer.
Why Focus on Specialty Notary Work?
Think of all the documents that need notarization outside of real estate—powers of attorney, affidavits, wills, and more. These services are always in demand, and they often come with fewer hoops to jump through.
SNW Breakdown in Beyond Loan Signings
Here's what you'll learn:
Is SNW Worth the Focus?
Absolutely. Specialty Notary Work might not have the same flashy appeal as loan signings (Spoiler alert: Loan Signings are a specialty too!), but it often leads to repeat clients and stable income. Plus, the more you’re out there doing SNW, the more your reputation grows—and with it, your client base.
If you’re ready to stop waiting for signing agents to call and start building your own direct clientele, SNW is the path forward.

2 天前When I was teaching business model classes for notaries back in 2021, we discussed SNW at length. Notaries who did not anticipate the stabilization of loan signing and build a well rounded notary business outside of those services….may not be practicing notaries any longer. And that is aad.
