Are baby product demos a thing?

As a mom, there’s nothing I wouldn’t have done to make sure my baby is safe, happy, and healthy. But, choosing the right products for your little one can be overwhelming. With so many options, how do you know what’s truly the best? I’ve been there, and I’ve found that baby care product demos can make all the difference.

Demos show exactly how the products would work on a baby’s skin. For example, I saw first hand (when developing demos for J&J baby) how the barrier cream protected delicate skin, or how Aveeno's formula deeply hydrated; the results in real time put my mind at ease. I knew there was no need for second-guessing or stressing over product labels. The demos gave the confidence one needed.

It’s easy to read things like “hydrating” or “dermatologist tested” on a package, but when you actually see a product performing its magic—whether it’s locking in moisture or forming a protective barrier, or the ingredient does what its supposed to—it really helps you trust the claims. And trust is everything when it comes to your baby, right?

But what about me?

Being a mum meant putting my baby first, but I had to learn that caring for myself had been just as important. The stress of constantly worrying about every little detail was exhausting. Knowing that the products I chose for myself and my baby had been tested and proven through these demos gave me peace of mind.

I no longer felt overwhelmed by all the choices; instead, I felt empowered to make the best decisions for my baby.

Let’s face it – men’s personal care has come a long way from the days of a bar of soap and an occasional splash of aftershave. Today, on International No Beard Day, it's a reminder that self-care is for everyone – beard or no beard, and men should feel empowered on their personal care journey just as much as women.

Now this is where brands come in. Brands have done a fantastic job making women feel seen and appreciated in their self-care routines, and it’s time we extend that same courtesy to the men of the world. Trust me, the guy reaching for a moisturizer doesn’t need to feel awkward or even clueless about it.

We’ve all seen it—men sneaking peeks at their partner’s skin routine, pretending not to enjoy the feel of a good face mask. Or the friend who finally tries a beard oil and suddenly won’t stop talking about how soft and manageable his beard is. Men, just like everyone else, are looking for that personal confidence boost, that feeling of freshness, or simply a bit of indulgence in a hectic world.

So how do brands, help them get there? Get them that perfect product that works best for their needs. It’s all about speaking their language. Men need reassurance that it’s not just okay to care about their skin, hair, and beard – it’s essential. Just as brands have tailored personal care products to meet women’s skin or hair needs, men also need personalised self-care experiences, from targeted ingredients proof to diagnostic product recommendation.

Giving men the tools and confidence to look after themselves, and choosing the right product will turn their loyalty to brands that help them feel seen.
