#Inspire

With #AmsterdamPride2024 bringing vibrant energy to the city’s narrow streets, we’re excited to introduce the Nexio Projects Queer Circle, an inspiring initiative launched by our CEO Marc Roodhuyzen de Vries and Junior Sustainability Consultant Ye?im T?rpan .

Our Queer Circle is an employee resource group established for individuals who identify with or support the LGBTQIA+ community. We’ve put this initiative in place because we value Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. We strive to create a working environment where everyone feels welcomed and free to express their authentic selves.

As part of the initiative, we host:

  • Regular meetings to discuss and reflect on important topics;
  • Check-ins to create a safe space to share experiences and ask questions;
  • Shared lunch and gatherings to build community outside of work.

#Educate

While DEI efforts often take centre stage during Pride Week, fostering inclusive workplaces should be a year-round commitment.

However, many companies still face challenges in backing their DEI strategies with comprehensive, verifiable data.

A recent US-based study reveals that:

  • only 26% of organisations analyse hiring outcomes by race or ethnicity;
  • only 33% consider these factors in promotion rates;
  • only 36% analyse attrition rates by race or ethnicity.

To help you understand how to enhance your DEI efforts and transparently report on the progress, we have recently published a new factsheet, “Strengthening Your DEI Reporting Strategy”.

In the article, Cilia Keser , Head of People and Culture, and Zuzana Struharova , Outsourced Sustainability Manager Practice Lead provide:

  • Practical steps to develop a robust DEI reporting framework;
  • Key metrics and indicators to track and measure your DEI initiatives;
  • Tools and best practices to collect and analyse DEI data effectively;
  • Strategies to communicate your DEI progress and impact to stakeholders.
