Building Hope in Burpong: A Mission for Education and Sustainability

In Burpong, Uganda, just 2 kilometers from South Sudan, something extraordinary is unfolding. A MissionPoint, a symbol of hope and progress, is taking shape in this community.

Inside a humble open-air church hut, 150 children, ages 4, 5, and 6, are about to embark on their first steps toward education. They gather with dreams in their hearts—learning under the open sky, eager to explore a world far beyond their village. But as these young ones start their journey, a stark reality remains: over 250 children, ages 5 through 12, still sit at home, waiting for their chance to learn.

Yet hope is on the horizon. The villagers of Burpong have generously donated 16 acres of land—land that will not only house a school but also a community farm, paving the way for a brighter and more sustainable future.

Last week marked a significant milestone as we delivered chairs and blackboards to this very spot. It’s the first of many steps toward creating an environment where all children can sit in proper classrooms and receive the education they deserve.

But our work is far from complete. To finish this MissionPoint, we need your help. Together, we can build a school, ensure that every child in Burpong receives an education, and create a community farm that will sustain the village for years to come.

Join us in finishing what we started. Help us build a future—one child, one school, one community at a time. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
