Welcome to the sixth edition of "AgeWell & Thrive"! In this edition, we're delving deep into the importance of building healthy foundations and nurturing lifelong habits that will support your ageless well-being. ??

Your habits shape your life. By building a strong foundation of healthy practices, you can ensure that every day is an opportunity for growth, vitality, and fulfillment. Let's explore a couple building blocks of a healthful life.

?? The Power of Routine ??

We'll kick off this edition by discussing the transformative impact of daily routines. What is your morning routine ?

Do you have one? Besides stumbling into the kitchen and making some coffee? The morning routine helps us set the tone for the day, better allowing us to control our schedules rather than our schedule controlling us. As we start each day fresh, we can better focus on what is in front of us, where to prioritize our time, and, ultimately, increase our productivity.

Consider this idea for a routine.

  • Enjoy some warm lemon and ginger water upon rising
  • Go outside and take a deep breath. Look up...at the rising sun!
  • Sit for 10 minute for some meditation time. Simply breath in and out 10 times. If a thought comes in , notice that and say....'not now thought. I'm meditating '
  • Consider choosing and saying that outloud or in your head during the meditation. Examples are "I am healthy, free and abundant today and everyday. I have all that I need . "
  • Pull out your journal and write for 10 minutes. Don't know what to write ? Start with 10 things your are grateful for. Pick what 3 goals you want to accomplish today. Or simply answer the question...How am I feeling today and what am I looking forward to today. Just free write with no judgement .
  • Move: get some movement: that may include walking your dog OR heading to the health club.
