Building the Future with ARISE??Hardware in the Loop

Our innovative ARISE? digital engineering simulation environment is a family of integrated toolkits used to build a system-level weapon simulation – or "digital twin." It has enabled us to reduce product development time, decrease cost and detect design problems before live flight tests.

Practice Makes Perfect

Two years ago the Artemis generation took a giant leap forward with the historic launch of the Orion spacecraft, which was built by our talented engineers. During its mission, Orion journeyed farther into deep space than any human-rated spacecraft. In preparation for the next milestone, NASA astronauts have been hard at work testing Orion's crew module hatch.

Congratulations to the ARISE team! The exploitation of digital twins unlocks the power to create “correct and robust system by design” and innovating solutions (or closing the loop to adapt design much faster before the adversary). A vision I tried pursuing during my tenure at LMSSC - but now made feasible with the power of distributed computing, AI and programming abstractions! A great future that the new generation of engineers can shape and be part of!

What would happen if there was an EMP? Are there safe guards?

I am impressed as usual. I started working with a board member of Lockheed Martin in the 1990s. He was the aerodynamic engineer and inventor of many things. Bob was a very forward looking man. He liked my ideas so much he gave me an office two doors from his own. He invested in me and my ideas. He and I worked on making seven new ideas of mine. I have over 25 new ideas. He was called away to the wars in Afghanistan and couldn't stay with me to finish my plans with him. He was the man who planned the airfields locations and made a new plane to fight in the terrain of the region. Wow, What a guy. He gave me the only copy of his original design for the stealth bombers. Yeah we were friends. he turned over his job as inspector and interviewer of people with new ideas at the chamber of Commerce. I miss him. His help is needed.
