Building a freelance business in the Digital Age.
Sara Kolata
I am here to propel our industry to be one of the most innovative, daring and profitable in the world.
This week I got published in AEC Mag with my exclusive interview with Patrik Schumacher, Director of Zaha Hadid Architects.
As the world of Architecture finds itself on the edge over the recent Metaverse and NFT hype, Zaha Hadid Architects are at the forefront of innovation showing us exactly how to utilise Web 3 and its socio-economic opportunities for architects, globally.
The topic has become especially relevant at the beginning of this year, with more and more platforms publishing about it. All the recent hype forces us to evaluate our role as architects and whether or not we want to consider servicing the digital realm.
Inevitably we moved away from a technological age, to the age of information, therefore as Architects, freelancers, sole practitioners and business owners within the architecture industry we have to learn to adapt to new trends.
Running your own business and being an entrepreneur today is not what it used to be.
The hustle is the same but the times and means of business development are different.
We must, if we want to be successful, be open to innovation and stay agile.
Patrik does that well, keeping Zaha Hadid Architects at the forefront of innovation.
But what about freelancers?
This week on our Live Archdaily Roundtable Discussion Broadcast we will focus on the topic of "Building a freelance business in the Digital Age."
