Building the easiest wireless presentation system for meeting spaces

How a human-centered approach to content sharing will power the future of meeting room collaboration. 

When we say that our vision as a company is to create a world where sharing content is as easy as saying HELLO, what we really mean is that it's our job to remove the barriers that stand in the way of people sharing information, content and ideas with each other. 

Over two years ago we introduced our wireless presentation solution, Montage, and today some of the world's best companies use Montage to make their meetings flow. As Montage continues to grow we're more focused than ever on making sure people have the best possible experience when it comes to wireless sharing. 

Building the future 

Soon we will be releasing an update to Montage that sees a complete reshaping of how Montage solves the problem of how meeting attendees share content without distraction.  

Our guiding principle for this update has been 'Don't Make Me Think': we want users to come into a meeting space and share content with zero friction: that means no clutter, no distraction and no barriers.

For this to happen means Montage, as a product, does the heavy lifting: it handles connecting across guest and corporate networks without the user having to think about, they just join.

It ensure that your content is encrypted so that you never have to worry or even think about whether your content is secure.

Montage is designed it to works perfectly with touch screens and non touch screens alike. Users can drive the session from their device without the need for a touch screen. If there's a touch screen in the room, users can drive the session from their device AND use the touch display to control how content is presented.

Montage now makes it easy for users to join from any device with sharing instructions catered specifically for every user and every device type: simply need to go to a weburl to join. 

Once joined we put control in the hands of the user: users now get to decide what type of content they want to share: from screens to media, to whiteboards to files. With the introduction of a guest app, we've made it easy for users with no admin rights to connect. A cloud based portal also makes it easy for IT to manage and monitor their deployment remotely. 

Designing for the big screen

In addition to removing clutter and distraction, we've focused heavily on design with a move towards a warmer, more professional design that's clean, simple and easy. We've removed and avoided using over saturated colours that can visually distract. All text is light on a dark background making it easier to read. 

Wireless presentations apps are typically 10ft experiences and legibility is an important feature which is why we've focused on font type and size. Montage uses  Muli, an elegant and simple sans serif typeface, which makes it the perfect choice for a clean-looking and professional interface with font sizes now doubled with 10ft experiences in mind.
