Since Linum Labs was founded in 2016, we've embraced a fully remote structure, managing a diverse team spread across the globe. With more than 35+ people working from different time zones and cultures, we’ve often been asked: How do you maintain a sense of connection and community without physical presence? The answer lies in something deceptively simple—small acts of kindness, empathy, trust, and shared celebrations.
The Human Element in a Remote-First World
At Linum Labs, we firmly believe that creating a supportive, engaged team doesn’t rely on fancy office perks or daily face-to-face meetings. Instead, it’s about curating a culture of connection—a space where our team feels seen, appreciated, and supported, regardless of where they are in the world.
It might seem tricky to foster such closeness when your colleagues live in different countries or time zones, but the internet—and the variety of remote services available today—make it more possible than ever. We’ve found that the key to sustaining a happy, motivated team isn’t in grand gestures, but in small, meaningful acts of care and celebration.
Small Acts, Big Impact
It’s often the little things that make the most difference. Over the years, we’ve built our culture on compassion and empathy, showing our team that they matter as both employees and human beings. Here’s how we do it:
Technology That Brings Us Together
One of the best things about today’s remote services is how they make closeness possible, no matter the distance. Tools like Slack, Google meets, and even things like pizza delivery services let us create shared experiences, keeping the culture strong. We use these tools not just to manage work, but to foster those human moments that build camaraderie and trust.
For example, annually on Bitcoin Pizza day we send pizza to our entire team around the world during a company-wide virtual hangout. It’s a small gesture, but it means that even in different parts of the world, we’re sharing a meal, a moment of connection, and a sense of togetherness.
Empathy at the Core of Our Culture
The secret to Linum Labs’ ability to maintain such high levels of employee satisfaction isn’t rocket science. It’s empathy. It’s compassion. It’s caring enough to show up for each other, even when we aren’t in the same room. We acknowledge the human side of work—the side that often gets lost when you're working remotely.
By doing so, we’ve built a culture where people feel supported, valued, and connected. The team knows that at Linum Labs, their well-being matters, and that keeps morale high and motivation strong.
Connection Is Key
As a fully remote team, we’ve proven that you don’t need to be physically together to feel connected. It’s possible to cultivate a thriving, happy team by focusing on what really matters—celebrating each other, showing empathy, and being intentional about building relationships.
The internet has opened up incredible possibilities for closeness, even when we’re miles apart. And at Linum Labs, we’re committed to harnessing that potential to create a company culture that’s not only productive but deeply human.
So, whether it’s through virtual baby showers, shared meals, or just showing up for each other during tough times, we’ll keep building this culture of connection—because at the end of the day, that’s what makes Linum Labs more than just a workplace.

1 个月Been intentional is key! I have worked in teams that Hang out and just play some music and joke around on a Friday night. I have also worked in teams that meetings are only for work and there is no Chit chat or banter. Prefer the former a lot more! ??
