BUILDING CONSISTENCY IN DATA SCIENCE

What is the biggest challenge we all have as people? Yup, you guessed it, it's consistency! This is why we did the #30daysofcodechallenge to build up this consistency. Let me bring you up to speed on how this concept works...

According to James Clear in the book Atomic habits, they are formed after 21 days. How? During habit development, cues lead to certain stimuli in our brains that gets us to do something without thinking about it.

The #30daysofcodechallenge was started at GDSC KCA University to build daily coding proficiency. We wanted to help our participants build the habit of coding at least daily to stop looking at coding as just another chore because, in the real sense, coding is a must for any techie.

Google Student Developer Community decided to help us build up that #grit through this challenge. Since we have focused mostly on the challenge, let's first talk about the why behind the challenge.

The #30daysofcodechallenge for #googledeveloperstudentclubs at KCA University was to help our members build the coding habit. Break down the myth that coding is hard because once you build that habit of writing a line of code every day, you will be able to choose a tech stack and learn it from start to finish easily.

That is the whole purpose of the challenge. This being my final input for the challenge as the article part of the challenge, all I can say I gained from this experience is:-

• The coding grit is coding daily and committing daily.
• Built the habit of committing to consistency
• Grow my networking skills from basic to now intermediate because I have been able to grow holistically in networks and consistency.

And that brings me to the closure of this input, as I graduate next week I am leaving the challenge knowing I have gained a habit I will forever be appreciating because I have gained it. I literally get a headache if I don't write code, commit it to GitHub & tweet about it before the end of the day. That is an achievement!
