Building Bridges & Business Across Life Sciences Communities
Ciao peers, colleagues, family, and friends! Welcome to the first of what will be a monthly roundup of my insights surrounding interesting pieces of industry news. I aim to share some of the most inspirational or transformative media I’ve come across to spark conversation and drive our communities and relationships to new, innovative heights.?
The FemTech Revolution
New estimates indicate that the FemTech Market will reach $85.08 billion by 2029, at a compound annual growth rate of nearly 16%, according to a report by Maximize Market Research.?
However, research published by Bezinga states that the sector will be worth just shy of $16 billion by 2028. Significant disparities between statistics can mean that something needs to be revised with how the research was conducted or that the researchers are working from independent definitions and not following the same processes.
One of the greatest challenges FemTech and industry leaders face is a need for a clear definition of specific methods. Everything from makeup to surgical implants falls under an umbrella term, which is not advantageous when deciphering data and evolving strategies.
Medical Cannabis Advancements
Another great accomplishment for the movement toward medical cannabis! The Israeli Ministry of Health announced new reforms to reduce regulations and improve patient access. This decision will enable more patients to gain critical access to medical cannabis treatments for various chronic conditions.?
It’s incredible to see medical cannabis being positioned as a first-line treatment instead of a last resort. These natural products and treatments provide people with a new way to manage their health and take charge of their lives.?
Leadership Stories
In this interesting piece, Paola Cecchi-Dimeglio, Senior fellow at Harvard University, explains how regular feedback can improve performance and communication, making for a better working environment.?
Rather than wait until the end of the quarter to provide feedback to workers, leaders should aim to guide their teams proactively and constructively. This small adjustment can make for more dynamic teams and free up the flow of ideas among colleagues.?
