Communication: A process by which information is exchanged between individuals or entities.?
Relevance Theory: A cognitive theory of pragmatics which is firmly grounded in a general view that human communication is intention-based, and so verbal comprehension involves not just the decoding of speech signals, but also the recognition of the speaker’s communicative intentions.
Relevance: The quality or state of being closely connected or appropriate.
Intention: A mental state in which an individual commits themselves to a course of action.
Imply: The use of either verbal or non-verbal signals to suggest something. Please note, the operative word is suggest. In the current social environment, personal and professional spheres,?
Inference: A guess made or an opinion formed based solely on the information that is readily available, and oftentimes interpretive.?
Attitude: A manner, disposition, feeling, or position, with regard to a person or thing.
Context: The circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea.

Relevance Theory states all human Communication should be Relevance Driven. The components of communicative structure are Encoding, Transfer, and Decoding. Additionally, there are three important facets, Intent, Inference, and Context.? When Intent, Inference, or Context are missing or misapplied, the purity of the communicative chain is broken. This results in nothing more than an exchange of words, due to the Lack of Relevance.

Word Selection
For good communication to transpire the communicator must select the vehicle to convey the message, words. Words are energy and vibration delivering the communication through the Power of Intent.
Context
The situation, conditions, and environment create the level of Dimensionality and Relevance for good communication. Context is the lens through which Encoding, Transfer, and Decoding take place.
Attitude
The attitude (verbal or non-verbal) of the communicator is delivered by way of Transfer. Through words, energy, vibration, pitch, tone, the communicator transmits not only the message but additionally their sentiment (judgment ha).
Interpretation
Responsible Communication requires both Sender and Receiver remain committed to the Sanctity of the Message. No easy feat, when considering the margin of error and the numerous variables; Intent (real and perceived), Context, Attitude, and Interpretation of Both Sender and Receiver. Not to mention the ambiguity of even precise words. The Intent of both Sender and Receiver is Forged into every Communication.
