You know those dreams where you’re running?

You’re furiously pumping your arms and moving your legs, but you don’t move.?

That’s what this week felt like with The Lunch Break??

I mean, it was nowhere near as frustrating as those dreams but, it was more about the idea of putting in effort and not getting results.

I have to admit, I LOVE writing these newsletters.

It’s a nice outlet for me to do two things I love - write and talk about marketing and business.

But, I guess as the popular saying goes, "slow and steady wins the race."

This week’s stats:

  • 0 new followers (There are plenty of spots at my table. Join me!)
  • 1 Unsubscribe. The first unsubscribe loomed over me, so I was weirdly excited it happened. Honestly, it’s my first test of not taking things personally with this newsletter.
  • 4 emails // 53.66% open rate // 3.41% CTR
  • Best open rate: 5 things to check before sending an email (58.54%)
  • Best CTR: Comments are content (4.76%)

Notes from the week:

  • I received two nice messages about my newsletter so that was super cool!
  • I need to find a way to promote the newsletter on social media without going overboard. It’s a delicate balance of getting the name out there without overdoing it so that people get sick of it and tune me out. Any tips are welcomed :)
  • I’ve been thinking about my content and how to keep people interested and excited about the daily email. I’m wondering if I need to provide more tactical tips. Something that people can take and apply to their world.?
  • I love Beehiiv. It’s incredibly user-friendly, and I love the educational content they offer—it's super helpful. I feel like it’s the perfect platform for someone (like me) who’s creating a newsletter from scratch.?
  • I’m creating a LinkedIn guide that I'll share in an upcoming email. Stay tuned and subscribe if you haven't already!
