Building on Beehiiv: Growing Pains

I feel like this week went insanely fast.?

I’m not shocked.?

This time of year is an absolute whirlwind of holiday prep, kid activities, wrapping presents, and, of course, work.?

And, in full transparency, because this is my newsletter diary, this was the first week I didn’t gain any new followers.

Despite my normal promotional efforts, I wasn’t able to get anyone’s attention enough to subscribe.?

Yes, it’s frustrating, but it might be the recalibration I need.

The lesson I’m taking from it is:

Don’t get comfortable.?

It’s easy to feel motivated when things are going well. You get a confidence boost, and you continue doing the things that got you to this point.?

But when those “things” stop working and you lose your spark, you have to make some changes; you pivot.?

I’m using this pivot point to get back to the basics.

I'm studying other people’s newsletters and tactics and applying them to mine when it makes sense.

I lucked out because Chenell Basilio and Dylan Redekop released their brand-new podcast, Growth in Reverse, this week.?
